I've finally got some armor piercing, but it still takes me 3 to 4 turns just to get through the enemy's armor before I can even begin to start stunning or knock down, so I get wrecked quickly. I'm wondering if there are certain classes each companion excels at, or if they are pretty versatile? I have Lohse as a ranger, levelling finesse and wit, the Red Prince as a tank levelling strength, constitution and 2 hand, Beast as a second tank levelling strength, constitution and 1 hand, and Fane as a caster, levelling intelligence mostly, and I feel like I have completely screwed up somewhere. I'm in the area after Lady Vengeance of Divinity 2, and hitting the steep difficulty curve I see a lot of people mentioned.
